Spring Fling by Annie England Noblin

My Rating: ★★★★★

Quick Note: I applied for the advanced reader copy of this book and it is set to release March 18, 2025! Which I find kind of funny because its on my list of 2024 favorites right now.

About: Mylie and Ben are two childhood friends who lived right next to each other in the Ozarks. Mylie has lived there all her life and built a FULL life for herself in her adulthood, too. Ben moved to the neighborhood from Chicago, in grade school, and when its time to go to college, he moved back. Years have passed and he hasn’t really been back, but he has no choice but to return to fulfill a promise he made to his mom before she passed. When the two run into each other, its a second chance to reunite. They were best friends and now they get to see what they could be.

What to expect/tropes:

  • Friends to lovers

  • Small town

  • Dual POV

My Thoughts: I LOVED this! No notes. Well actually, I did take notes while I was reading and I literally wrote, “There wasn’t a part of this book that I didn’t like.” I loved the characters, the plot line, their POVs and the pacing. This was quick read that can only be described as cute. I’m apologizing in advance for how much I think books are cute, but they just are. If I had to use other descriptors, I’d say this was heartwarming, sweet, feel good.

Who doesn’t love the thought of someone’s first love and the second chance to make it happen? I could feel the yearning between the main characters seeping off the page and I yearned with them. I loved Miley, being the strong and independent woman, taking care of her younger sister and her granny. The Granny deserves a highlight because she was an absolute GEM of a character. I highly recommend adding this book to your TBR because it’ll be the perfect, cozy Spring read.
